Legal
Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of the ICSE Zambia website, member accounts and the business case, opportunity and partnership intake channels.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing this website, creating a member account or submitting information through any form on this site, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not accept them, do not use the website or its member areas.
Eligibility
The website is intended for adults acting on their own behalf or with authority to act for a business, cooperative, institution or other organisation. By submitting information for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.
Registration Information and Its Use
Our business registration questionnaire collects your name, contact information, age, gender response, address, location, business interests and activities, skills, assets, facilities, mobility, business ideas, local opportunity observations and stated immediate investment-capacity range. You may choose not to disclose your gender.
This information is used to classify participating people and businesses, evaluate commercial opportunities, identify possible skills and resource matches, and contact participants about relevant ICSE activities. An investment-capacity selection is not a payment request, offer or binding commitment. Registration information is not published to other members and is accessed through restricted member and staff areas.
Contact ICSE Zambia using the published contact channels if you want to correct your information or enquire about access to or deletion of your records. We retain information for legitimate operating purposes and applicable legal obligations.
User Accounts
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details, for keeping your password confidential and for all activity carried out under your account. Accounts are personal and must not be shared. Notify ICSE Zambia promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
Member Responsibilities
Members are expected to engage honestly and professionally, to respond to reasonable requests for clarification during review, and to conduct themselves consistently with the ethical standards on which ICSE Zambia operates.
Accuracy of Submitted Information
You are responsible for ensuring that the information you submit — including financial, operational, ownership and market information — is accurate, current and not misleading. Decisions on your submission are made on the basis of what you provide.
Business Cases and Opportunity Submissions
Ideas, growth requirements, turnaround situations, opportunities and partnership proposals submitted through this website are received for assessment by the ICSE Zambia Operations Centre. Receipt of a submission does not create a mandate, an engagement, a joint venture or any other legal relationship.
Only submit commercially sensitive information where you are authorised to disclose it. Do not submit third-party confidential information, personal data of others without a lawful basis, or material subject to a restriction you cannot satisfy.
Commercial Due Diligence
ICSE Zambia may carry out commercial, financial, legal or reputational due diligence before progressing a case. You remain responsible for your own independent professional advice on any transaction you enter into.
No Guarantee of Funding, Investment, Contract or Commercial Outcome
Membership creates access, not entitlement. Submitting a business idea, project, funding request, partnership opportunity or commercial case does not guarantee acceptance, investment, finance, partnership, a contract or commercial success.
Prohibited Conduct
You must not misrepresent your identity or authority, submit fraudulent or unlawful proposals, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform, interfere with its operation, scrape or bulk-extract content, or use the website to promote activity that is illegal or contrary to ICSE Zambia's stated ethical standards.
Confidentiality
Information you submit is handled by authorised ICSE Zambia personnel for the purpose of assessment and case management, and is not published to other members. Internal assessment notes are for ICSE Zambia's own use and are not part of any response to you. Where a mandate requires broader disclosure, this will be dealt with under a separate written agreement.
Intellectual Property
The website, its content and the ICSE Zambia brand remain the property of ICSE Zambia or its licensors. You retain ownership of the material you submit and grant ICSE Zambia permission to store, review and process it for the purpose of assessing and progressing your case.
Suspension and Termination
ICSE Zambia may suspend or terminate an account, or decline to progress a submission, where these terms are breached, where information is materially inaccurate, or where continued engagement would be inappropriate. You may request closure of your account at any time.
Third-Party Services
The platform relies on third-party infrastructure providers for hosting, authentication and data storage. Their availability and performance are outside ICSE Zambia's direct control.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ICSE Zambia is not liable for commercial loss, lost profit, lost opportunity or indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this website, from reliance on its content, or from a decision taken on a submission.
Changes to the Terms
These terms may be updated as the platform develops. The version published on this page is the version in force. Continued use of the website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the Republic of Zambia. Where a specific engagement is documented in a separate written agreement, the governing law and dispute-resolution provisions of that agreement take precedence for that engagement.
Contact
Questions about these terms may be sent to hello@icseafrica.com or submitted through the contact page.
